A Democracy Bill of Rights for California

All California voters should be able to cast votes that go towards electing people who truly represent their views – and be confident their vote will be counted fairly and accurately.

According to the California Constitution: “All political power is inherent in the people.” (Article II, Section 1).
Yet the rich diversity of the people is not reflected in the legislature.

According to the California Constitution: “A voter who casts a vote in an election in accordance with the laws of this State shall have that vote counted. (Article II, Section 2.5).  Yet most votes don’t go towards electing someone who truly represents that voter’s views.

That’s why I propose a Democracy Bill of Rights for California – based upon Voter Choice, Clean Money and Election Integrity.
